A couple days prior to my 32 week mark, a wonderful group of girlfriends hosted a beautiful baby shower for Emery Elizabeth. The color theme was pink and brown and nothing could have been any cuter. The tables were adorned with diaper cakes, which added to Emery's diaper supply....the one that I think is quite large but everyone keeps telling me, "that'll last a couple weeks!" The cake was 2-tiered (pic to show) and DELICIOUS. Bottom layer was a lemon cake with a raspberry filling and the top layer was a chocolate cake with a moose filling. The girls put together a great spread of finger foods and the company was wonderful. Emery received so many gifts....from the practical everyday needs to the too cute to pass up needs. Those are still needs, right!? :) Like I told everyone at the shower on Sunday, the gifts are all appreciated and great but the most important thing to us right now is the love and friendships that everyone has shown to us during this exciting time and always.
Max & Lavonne purchased Emery's swing, which Patrick was quick to put together on Sunday evening! It's so soft and sweet. We both agreed that an adult version was needed next to the infant one.
All else continues to be status quo. I hope that this finds each of you happy and smiling....
